I hold a Master’s degree in Museum and Artefact Studies from Durham University, UK, and a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology from MSU Baroda, India. My work sits at the intersection of curatorial practice, inclusive exhibition design, and community-led storytelling. I have curated both physical and digital exhibitions as part of a team, developed educational content, and interpreted collections for a wide range of audiences. My research has focused on improving accessibility in museums, and I am dedicated to integrating inclusive practices across all areas of heritage interpretation. In addition to my museum work, I have engaged with environmental and cultural heritage projects, particularly focusing on the Himalayan region. I have contributed to research on Mussoorie’s water systems, developing an online storyboard. I enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and translating research into engaging public outputs, whether through digital exhibitions, podcasts, or community outreach. My skill set includes collections management, object research, public programming, digital content creation, and audience engagement. I have received training in collections care, curatorial ethics, and ethical storage methods, along with hands-on experience in object handling, deaccessioning, and inventory management. Having worked across institutions in both India and the UK, I bring a global and adaptable perspective to heritage practice.
Short term research project for City Palace Museum, MMCF, Udaipur
I worked on a variety of projects that bridge the gap between ecology and cultural heritage. This involved conducting interdisciplinary research, collaborating with experts from diverse fields, and contributing to initiatives that promote the integration of scientific knowledge into policy and practice. I was involved in data collection, analysis, and documentation of heritage sites, as well as engaging with communities to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our natural and cultural heritage.
During my placement at the Durham Museum from June 3rd to June 28th I engaged in several key tasks and responsibilities: I managed the de-accessioning of objects, ensuring compliance and accuracy. I safely relocated objects on display within the museum and moved them into storage. I also conducted inventory checks and updates for the museum shop. This placement was a part of the Museum Communication module at Durham University.
Worked under the Education and Research Department. Delivered over 20 guided tours and informal learning sessions for school groups, college students, and community visitors, fostering deeper public engagement with museum collections. Supported the planning and execution of major public programs, including Summers @ NGMA and SUJAN – World Disability Day, which collectively attracted more than 700 participants. Contributed to national-level initiatives such as the Prime Minister’s Mementoes E-Auction Project (2022) and the International Museum Expo (2023), assisting with research, coordination, and content development. Additionally, gained experience working with international exhibitions, supporting curatorial and logistical aspects to ensure smooth cross-cultural collaboration and display.
