Sustainability and biodiversity conservation professional with over four years of experience supporting Caribbean governments in advancing biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Critical to the success of projects with a combined value of over US$150,000 in areas of biodiversity conservation, national policy, environmental stewardship and sustainability. Her core competencies include analytical problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication, complemented by a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Through engagements with national and international organizations, she has provided technical expertise across biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, climate change adaptation, quality management, and disaster risk reduction. She has developed high quality technical outputs for the preparation of Trinidad and Tobago’s Seventh National Report (7NR) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), reflecting her national-level experience, and to Belize’s 7NR, demonstrating regional engagement. She has also strengthened the development and revision of Trinidad and Tobago’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) in alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF). Additionally, she co-authored a 2025 study titled “Responding to Sargassum Influxes through Integrative and Adaptive Natural Resources Management Approaches in the Caribbean SIDS Region An Exploratory Framework” at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC), and has prepared abstracts for inclusion in other UN publications. Across these roles, she has contributed to data collection and analysis, report preparation, stakeholder engagement, and the effective coordination of activities in accordance with established standards and procedures. Complementing her professional experience, she is the founder of the environmental NGO EcoCare, which focuses on raising youth awareness on environmental protection and sustainable living.
- Works directly with clients at all stages of the project to identify, clarify and resolve complex issues critical to the client’s environmental and sustainability objectives. - Support the development of competitive proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and tenders, ensuring adherence to all technical specifications, evaluation criteria, and compliance requirements. - Developed high quality technical outputs for the Preparation of Belize and Trinidad and Tobago's Seventh National Report (7NR) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). - Strengthened the development of Trinidad and Tobago's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (2026 - 2030) in alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
- Provided technical support and assistance to the Sustainable Development and Disaster Unit of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC-Caribbean). - Coauthored ECLAC's study on "Responding to Sargassum Influxes through Integrative and Adaptive Natural Resources Management Approaches in the Caribbean SIDS Region- An Exploratory Framework." - Planned, scheduled and conducted meetings with focal points from the Caribbean to support in data collection for this study. - Participated and prepared meeting notes for a parliamentarian event on the Escazú Agreement as a tool for climate governance and environmental democracy in Trinidad and Tobago. -Developed an article on Biodiversity Conservation and Local and Indigenous Knowledge, to be published on ECLAC's Focus Magazine. -Prepared abstracts for inclusion in other UN publications.
▪ Assisted the Quality manager in managing TTMS's Quality Management Systems (QMS) according to ISO 9001: 2015 standards. ▪ Prepared and developed a risk register and a product audit report for the aviation sector. ▪ Assisted in the planning and conducting of QMS audits. ▪ Assisted in coordinating and conducting staff training sessions on the TTMS QMS.
-Assisted with the development of a Monthly Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory (Carbon Footprint) Report and a Quarterly Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Report. -Screened SER (source emitter registration) and Air Pollution Permit applications in accordance with the APR (Air Pollution Rules) 2014. -Assisted with the coordination of sensitization seminars on the APR to encourage compliance, discussion of the relevant legislation (including the CEC Rules, 2001), SER process, an overview of health and environmental impacts of air pollutants and best management practices. -Updated the National Registrar for public view. -Assisted with efficiency reports and the EMA's Annual Report.
