About

Sustainability and biodiversity conservation professional with over four years of experience supporting Caribbean governments in advancing biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Critical to the success of projects with a combined value of over US$150,000 in areas of biodiversity conservation, national policy, environmental stewardship and sustainability. Her core competencies include analytical problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication, complemented by a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Through engagements with national and international organizations, she has provided technical expertise across biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, climate change adaptation, quality management, and disaster risk reduction. She has developed high quality technical outputs for the preparation of Trinidad and Tobago’s Seventh National Report (7NR) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), reflecting her national-level experience, and to Belize’s 7NR, demonstrating regional engagement. She has also strengthened the development and revision of Trinidad and Tobago’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) in alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF). Additionally, she co-authored a 2025 study titled “Responding to Sargassum Influxes through Integrative and Adaptive Natural Resources Management Approaches in the Caribbean SIDS Region An Exploratory Framework” at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC), and has prepared abstracts for inclusion in other UN publications. Across these roles, she has contributed to data collection and analysis, report preparation, stakeholder engagement, and the effective coordination of activities in accordance with established standards and procedures. Complementing her professional experience, she is the founder of the environmental NGO EcoCare, which focuses on raising youth awareness on environmental protection and sustainable living.
