Appointed as an honorary senior lecturer/associate professor of the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow, research collaborations for developing novel artificial intelligence approaches for molecular design, target biology, and sustainable pharmaceutical drug development and manufacturing. Problem scoping, research, engineering and stakeholder alignment for ML workflows in drug discovery, safety/efficacy studies & trial analyses with multimodal data streams in CPSS and beyond: Publications/patents - ISBI'21 (1), MICCAI'21 (1), Nature Comms (1), Sci Rep (1) •ML based detection of pathologic lesions in preclinical imaging for clinical and nonclinical pathology; developed human-in-the-loop deep learning based QC tools for out-of-focus region quantification in toxpath data to reduce downtime in critical drug and vaccine development workflows •Led the optimization of annotation transfer workflows to reconcile RoIs across modalities of H&E, in-vivo scans and MSI data, reducing pathologist and imaging scientists’ efforts on annotation generation across modalities by ~30% •Managed the development of custom self-supervised methods for in-house 2D/3D imaging datasets; developed novel SSL approaches using conformal transformations in histology •Image analysis for diagnostic assessment of COVID-19 Chest X-Ray and CT scans from clinical and academic partners (member of the AIX COVNET initiative) •Led teams for end-to-end design of the InVivoAI platform to enable repeatable small animal cardiac CT/MRI/PET analysis offering tools for 3D image analysis •Championed sustainable AI to reduce AZ's carbon footprint on account of AI model training and inference; Involved in discussions with AZ members and external consultants for the rollout of the Responsible AI Community of Practice within the AZ AI Ethics Initiative; led the drafting of white papers for the AZ LT on Quantum Computing & Quantum Machine Learning for pharmaceutical contexts • Supervision of MRes placements under the AZ-Imperial collaboration; recruitment and mentoring of graduate data scientists and postdocs; established collaborations with academic partners and consortia for ML & multimodal analysis research; launched the CPSSxAI Seminars inviting speakers from academia and industry for cross-org talks
