At Taldor Ariel was responsible for every database-related issue in the GIS department. Especially I dealt with the connection between the different GIS systems (ESRI, Autodesk, etc) to RDBMS like Oracle and Sybase. After a short while Ariel lead several intra-departmental projects in the database fields and thus strengthened the synergy between Taldors departments. As part of the so-called 'forum A' lead by Taldor's CEO Asher Baharav Ariel was actively involved in several strategic decisions.
Ariel Rauch started his professional career in Israel as a freelancer consulting the GIS department of Tel-Aviv Municipality. He was responsible for integrating the spatial databases into one "virtual" data store. As one of the pioneers in Israel he launched one of the first integrated traffic systems consisting of alphanumerical information combined with the geographical view.
