I am an engineering and operations specialists with 20 years of international experience in mining, materials handling, and large‑scale technical project delivery. In my role at STRABAG Envirotech, I apply my expertise in sustainable earthworks, remediation, and environmental engineering to develop efficient, future‑oriented solutions for complex project environments. Before joining STRABAG, I served as Principal Mining Engineer and Head of Mining & Materials Handling at RWE Technology International, and previously as Mine Infrastructure Superintendent at one of the world’s largest continuous mining operations. This background has shaped my deep understanding of integrated material handling systems, continuous mining technologies, and fully electric, low‑emission transport concepts. My strengths include strategic project planning, CAPEX/OPEX management, financial modelling, and the coordination of interdisciplinary teams. I am passionate about driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting sustainable engineering practices. I am responsible for international mining consulting teams offering services for the full project life cycle of mining projects. Between Australia and Chile we are optimising mines and materials handling operations with a strong focus on boosting the efficiency of the mines, giving expert support for mechanical issues, training operators and looking for alternative solutions as a substitution for conventional shovel and truck technology. I am reporting to the company management and also work as a principal mining consultant and project lead. Beside that I am involved in standardisation and development working groups of German VDMA and VDI association.
Worldwide mining and materials handling sales resposibility including the development of an international sales network. Participation in international mining related conferences. Arrangement of contracts and agreements.
I worked for several years as a Senior mining consultant and project manager of international consulting and optimisation projects. The focus was on effciency boost for mine operations and studies to substitute conventional shovel and truck mining technology. I was the direct contact to the client coordinating international teams.
Full supervision of mine infrastrucure crew with direct leadership of 105 people and a major fleet of large auxiliary equipment including large pipe layers for conveyor belt track shifting and dewatering works.
Responsibility for meeting the shift production targets and guidance of the development of the DGPS based mine machine control and automation projects.
