Time spent across 3 separate locations abroad in rural tourism areas abroad using GPS tools and QGIS to produce bespoke leisure maps for clients. Very limited resources to produce maps with prior to arriving at locations and available information being generally of poor quality. GPS equipment was used to capture and record data that did not exist elsewhere i.e. rivers, roads, tracks etc. And used for amending existing data when necessary. All trails were walked or cycled personally so as to verify routes. Each location had its own topography and identity which meant that each set of maps had to be adapted to reflect these unique characteristics. Data was processed and outputs created using QGIS (maps available on request). All responsibilities were managed independently and managed within our own team, only consulting the client(s) during the design stage.
