Artistic practice, technoscience & gender politics. Arianna Forte is an independent curator, researcher and educator. Her research focuses on the ways in which contemporary art practices critically hybridize with the languages of technologies and sciences, creating opportunities for social imagination. Digital culture and gender identity are constant themes of her investigation, taking an intersectional transfeminist approach. She experiments with collaborative and performative ways of engaging non-specialist audiences and local communities, using hybrid and peripheral spaces, unconventional, workshop, site- and time-specific formats. In the course of her collaboration with artists Oriana Persico and Salvatore Iaconesi, she has specialized in the relationship between art, data, artificial intelligence and approached Near Future Design methodologies, curating several of the duo's projects (IAQOS, Datapoiesis, U-Datinos). She has taken part in conducting various workshops, starting with the Neo Rurals Futures summer school held at RUFA in 2019 at the conclusion of the European research project Speculative.Edu, to the advanced training course Curating Data at MAXXI in April 2023 .Since 2017,she is part of the transfeminist collective Witches Are Back with which she organizes events aimed at promoting female-identified artists in independent spaces and club culture. In 2021 she co-founded ERINNI, a curatorial platform that combines art and activism to explore the intersections of science, technology and gender identity. For three editions, she has been the curator of the interactive media art exhibition that takes place on the C line of the Rome subway, 1M sotto la metro. She recently won the Italian Council 12th edition research support award with the curatorial project Casting a spell in computational regimes: ritual practices for a trans-feminist "counter-apocalypse. He has written for various publications such as Notzine, Exibart, Arshake and the newspaper Il Manifesto. As a speaker, she has participated at talks and conferences such as for Romaeuropa Festival, MakerFaire Rome, Cattedrale dell'Immagine, Re:Humanism, Live Cinema Festival, Rome Independent Film Festival, Il tempo delle Donne, Fuorinorma, A+b Festival, Persona Festival. She has been invited to lectures at the DIARC of the University of Naples Federico II, University of Roma Tre, the Department of Design, Visual and Multimedia Communication of La Sapienza, Trinity College in Rome and the Rufa-Rome University of Fine Arts.

Casting a Spell in Computational Regimes [October 12-19, 2024] Group exhibition and program of talks, lectures, workshops, and performances exploring the intersection of digital technologies, ritual practices, and transfeminist resistance.
