Ariagni Avra Prokaki is a licensed clinical psychologist based in Athens, Greece. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom, as well as a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy from Deree - The American College of Greece. She continued her training journey in Brookline’s, Massachusetts, USA ‘Trauma Research Foundation, where she completed the intense 9-month certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies by Bessel Van der Kolk (author of ‘The Body Keeps the Score’) and his team. She has now decided to take her training one step further, and begin her journey towards becoming a certified Existential Psychotherapist in the Greek Institute of Existential Psychology ‘Gignesthai’, starting in October 2023. Ariagni currently holds her own private practice in Marousi, Athens, Greece, where she welcomes a variety of cases, ranging from mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. Her services include individual counselling and psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, and parent counselling. She offers sessions in Greek and English. Sessions can be offered both face to face and through teletherapy (online) in her private practice. Furthermore, she is a volunteer clinical psychologist at the Municipality of Neo Heraklion in Athens, where she gets involved with parent and adolescent counselling. Finally, Ariagni teaches IB Psychology part-time at the CLC Educational Institute in Halandri, Athens.
