About

I have a strong belief that learning does not just happen in school; real learning happens outside of the classroom. And because of this, I strive to take part in as many self-development and learning opportunities as I can outside of school. “What have you done so far?”, you may ask. Ever since I started high school, I had a passion to learn about why things work the way they do. I was a logical thinker, and in high school I discovered coding was one of my strong suits. I took part in numerous competitions and in grade 12, I got first place in the SKILLS competition for the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. I currently have coding experience and have done projects in Java, Python, and C. After high school, I decided to pursue Biomedical Engineering at Ryerson University and am currently completing my second year. I joined multiple student groups in my faculty and am currently a part of four student teams. A good chunk of my spare time goes towards attending meetings and planning events for them. They gave me the chance to improve my communication, project management, and technical skills. I’m also a Student Advisor at the First-Year Engineering Office at my school. I work to inform students on their best academic options moving forward and work on a mentorship project on the side. Besides all of this, I like spending time baking desserts and distributing them to family and friends. Another personal hobby I have is reading books. They can be about anything! I love gaining new knowledge and seeing how I can apply it to my life, or just enjoying a cup of tea and reading an intriguing mystery. I look forward to connecting with you!
