I’m a recent BSc Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Southampton, now pursuing an MSc in Cancer Biology and Immunology at the university’s Centre for Cancer Immunology. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong interest in immunology, pharmacology, and the biological mechanisms underpinning cancer. My dissertation project — which was an investigation into the anaerobic biosynthesis of the lower ligand of vitamin B12 — earned a first-class mark and gave me hands-on experience in protein expression and functional analysis within a molecular biosciences framework. I’m particularly driven to explore the intersection of cancer immunology and therapeutic innovation. I had the privilege of observing a Paediatric Oncologist at Southampton General Hospital, which deepened my interest in translational research and patient-centered care. I’m now looking to connect with professionals in oncology, immunology, translational medicine, and the wider life sciences industry to broaden my knowledge and explore opportunities in research, collaboration, and innovation.
