This role involved me serving and accomodating to the needs of customers during lunch and dinner meal services, taking countless orders and delivering meals to tables under intense time pressure. My job at Ramen Genki taught me the importance of communication in achieving success. At times, the notable language barrier between me and other Japanese-speaking employees imposed difficulties. However, learning basic Japanese allowed me to communicate effectively with my co-workers, improving efficiency, allowing positive outcomes to be achieved. In addition to this, my job at Ramen Genki required me to develop problem solving skills in order to ensure I treated individual customers to their specific needs, in order to provide the best, most friendly and accommodating service possible.
