I build health and AI products for wearable devices at Meta Reality Labs: ML-powered fitness tracking, AI-native device interactions, and novel health biomarkers using neural interface sensors. 20 years across design, health, and technology. My path started in the lab: 8 years of biomedical research at UCLA, Amgen, and Novartis, with publications in nuclear medicine. My graduate degree in Biomedical Communications bridged science and design, giving me a fluency with health data, clinical validation, and scientific complexity that shapes everything I build. Career highlights: • Co-founded Aster, a women's health startup ($2.4M pre-seed, Google for Startups Accelerator '24) • Founding designer at Mindstrong Health (Series A to C) for clinical mental health platform • Designed commerce and payment experiences at Facebook Financial reaching billions of users • Published biomedical researcher and medical illustrator I've designed for patients with serious mental illnesses, clinicians delivering care during labor, athletes tracking workouts on smartwatches, and consumers making payments across Facebook and Instagram. The through-line: making complex, high-stakes systems simple and trustworthy.
