Qualifications: * Proficient with Word, Excel, Windows, Access, PowerPoint, MS Works * Experienced in arranging/maintaining calendar for Director and Board Members * Experience processing timesheets for payroll, accounts payable and receivable * Experience answering business office telephones * Very detail-oriented worker that works well in a group or alone * Outstanding interpersonal and team skills * Ability to learn quickly and handle a large volume of work
• Review timesheets & maintain accurate records regarding employees annual/sick leave balance; • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed; • Attend all Board and Committee meetings for the West Tennessee Workforce Investment Board; • Prepare minutes for all Board, Committee and Staff meetings; • Maintain accurate records using (Microsoft Office Products); • Submit Board member nomination forms to TDOL-WFD for approval • Assist in preparing all phases of the annual Strategic Plan using the Baldrige criteria • Prepare departmental bills and reconcile credit card statement for payment • Rapid Response Coordinator for LWIA-11 • Coordinate initial meeting(s) with company officials in lay-off or closure process • Coordinate meeting(s) with employees affected by lay-off or closure • Prepare informational packets and attend Dislocated Worker Rapid Response Meetings • Plan Board and Staff events such as training sessions, meetings, etc. • Act as employer representative with Incumbent Worker Training Grant Contracts • Assist companies with application process for Incumbent Worker Training Grants • Review invoices from contractors to ensure all backup documents are included prior to payment • Act as backup to the WIA Youth Program Coordinator
As a TNCPE Examiner, we work in a team setting. Our job is to collaborate to asses applications submitted by businesses and organizations that apply to the TNCPE Award Program each year. As a team, we also develop valuable feedback reports that the applicant uses to streamline their processes, empower their workforce, and achieve the company or organization's desired results.
