I am a hands-on senior technology transactions attorney (Sr. Corporate Counsel) with deep experience across commercial contracting, product counseling, data privacy, and risk mitigation. At Miro, I advise on global technology transactions, partnerships, and product initiatives, helping shape the company’s partnership program worldwide. My work spans structuring and negotiating complex partner agreements (OEM, MSP, Cloud MSP), counseling product and go-to-market teams, reviewing and negotiating data processing agreement and infosec documents, and designing scalable legal frameworks that enable business growth while managing risk. Beyond transactions, I champion legal team engagement and development. At Miro, I co-chair Legal AF, an internal forum that focuses on professional development of the members of the legal team. Earlier at Elastic, I co-chaired and led the Legal Team Development Committee, driving initiatives to strengthen collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth across a global team. My career spans leadership roles in fintech, legaltech, and global corporates, including ICICI Prudential, Aditya Birla Group, and SpeedLegal Inc., where I worked directly with founding teams on product and process innovation, mergers and acquisitions, and was awarded for my work on the first insurance company IPO in India. I also bring policy and community experience from serving on the California Lawyers Association Privacy Section Legislative Committee, as Vice Chair of the ABA Women in IP group, and in ITPEC leadership with ACC. I hold an LL.M. from UC Berkeley School of Law (High Honors, dual specialization in Technology & Business Law; Dean’s List), where I was also a Form+Fund Startup Fellow. I am a CIPP/US-certified privacy professional and a California Bar-licensed attorney. Passionate about the intersection of law, technology, and cross-border regulation, I thrive on building legal programs that don’t just protect companies- but empower them to grow with confidence. As a committee, we are a three member team that shares latest developments in IP law, mentor law students, publish newsletters, and organize events related to IP and Women empowerment.
I performed research regarding current trends in Intellectual Property law. Drafted summaries of the research. Shared content with WIP team via official social media platforms. Prepared presentation for and participate in end of summer presentations.
I head the legal department comprising 12-14 members and work closely with the founding team on Speedlegal's SaaS platform development. My responsibilities include legal compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, investment related documentation and compliance, product counselling, governance (policy and process development), social media management, regulatory filings, developing templates, hiring team members, conducting trainings, and data privacy compliance.
As a privacy consultant, I worked closely with the founders to develop data privacy assessment tools for the company, including GAPP assessment tool, GDPR compliance checklists/tool, cookie compliance checklist. I drafted templates and underlying questionnaires for privacy notices, bring your own device/ use your own device policy, employee privacy policy, etc. I also wrote blog posts for Privacy Scoop on topics like Notice and Consent under the GDPR and Data Mapping.
