• Managed and led a dedicated Project Management Office (PMO) consisting of 3 project managers, 2 business analysts and 1 software tester. • Had been responsible for portfolio management governance, methodology and framework for both software development and infrastructure projects. • Designed and deployed the PMO process framework (with more than 50 process assets) and trained the project managers on how to use and adapt it. • Established a “Center of Excellence” department which continuously looks for opportunities for improving ongoing PM processes, deals with resource optimization within projects and creates new processes to help our PMO framework mature. • Enabled a culture switch from a traditional software house to a PMO-led project house.
• Managed and integrated business intelligence projects from conceptualizations to implementation for top-tier accounts such as Kordsa Global and Johnson & Johnson, and provided consultancy for various BI solutions for key customers. • Facilitated discussions with data owners and business partners to get conformance around reference data and hierarchies. • Planned the entire data warehousing initiative from requirements gathering, analysis, design, identifying and analyzing the source systems, to data quality, to ETL, and to the end user data access using MS SQL business intelligence suit (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).
• Managed the scope of work, requirements/constraints that were subject to change dynamically, and acted as an intermediate in Product Development Unit, between the Java software development team and the customer side • Participated in process mapping, system analysis, developing and testing practices of the “Project Management” module, which was a part of Logo’s newly introduced On-Demand ERP package (given the name "J-guar" later on). • Performed field work process analysis within target sectors and collaborated with client teams in order to analyze industry requirements/business needs for a “Project Management” module through an ERP software. Coordinated the software development team in accordance with the feedback gathered from the target industry. • Worked in the business analysis and implementation phases for the integration of J-Guar project management module with Microsoft Project and Primavera scheduling tools. • Conducted implementation demos and testing of this new module with regards to data consistency and module integrity.
• Managed and coordinated multiple OEM projects in a multi-national company, conducting its business as a product development partner for value added accessories and components in the consumer electronics and fashion industries. • Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple new product development projects from concept stage to final product acceptance prior to manufacturing launch. Initiated, planned, executed and monitored product life cycle phases with dedicated project teams. • Managed inbox and outbox projects for top-tier customers such as Nokia, Research In Motion (BlackBerry), Motorola, Microsoft and Canon. • Collaborated with customers’ project/program management, quality and engineering teams through conference calls and/or face to face meetings during product development phases in order to manage stakeholders’ expectations and requirements effectively as well as to further identify risks and monitor key open issues. • Tracked and communicated project progress to related stakeholders (both internal and external to the organization) through weekly reports and facilitated weekly conference calls with customers’ project teams to review goals and issue list. • Built credibility, established rapport and maintained effective communication with stakeholders at multiple levels. • Maintained continuous alignment of project budget, quality and schedule constraints with the project scope and strategic business objectives. • Conducted and led DFMEA studies during prototyping stage in order to identify the risks in designing phase, and coordinated risk mitigation activities accordingly.
Performed same project management practices for Blackberry and Motorola projects onsite at Trexta's remote Project Management Office in San Diego, United States, and returned to the headquarter office in Turkey on Aug, 2009.
• Provided consulting and training services for customers on ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environment Management System and Total Quality Management. • Performed pre-auditing activities for companies regarding ISO 9001:2000 standard prior to the certification procedure. • Provided consultancy for companies with a re-engineering service package quoted as “Global Change Project” which included process improvement modules such as “Business Analysis”, “Re-Engineering” and “Total Quality Management”. • Assisted customers with key areas including process analysis, process development, systems and technical strategy planning, 5S and kaizen practices.
