Software Engineering enthusiast and a graduate researcher with nearly 4 years of enterprise software development experience. Currently a Software Engineer with the Cloud team at Blackmagic Design, a designer and manufacturer of cinema-grade hardware and software products. Involved with developing gRPC and RESTful APIs for Blackmagic Cloud and working with AWS infrastructure on a day-to-day basis. I am also a PhD Scholar having completed my research (in 2023) on optimizing the performance of distributed systems in the cloud, by the efficient management of computing resources. My work was particularly focused on architecting Machine Learning based solutions for better scheduling and scaling of system resources of commercial and open-source Serverless Computing Platforms such as AWS Lambda, Microsoft Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions and IBM OpenWhisk.

Integration of AWS services - database access, network permissions, service accounts etc., for service code changes and cloud based deployment of services Designing new services and RESTful/gRPC endpoints required to support new product features Ensure acceptable end-to-end latency in existing services for users, via code based and infrastructure improvements. Handle production deployment of backend service changes for bug fixes and new feature launches.
My research work is focused on the aspect of autonomous resource management in Serverless Computing environments. I have completed a number of major research projects involving real-world data, incorporating Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) techniques, to optimize resource scheduling and scaling under this new and emerging cloud computing model. - A DRL based workload and system aware Serverless Function Scheduling Framework on top of Kubernetes - An OpenAI Gym based Serverless Simulator - A Function Resource Scaling Framework using a multi-agent DRL model - CloudSimSC > A modular extension to extension to CloudSim developed in the CLOUDS Lab, which is an open-source simulator tool for modeling cloud environments, extensively used by the research community
