I currently serve as Managing Director of one of Europe’s most ambitious green industry start-ups, leading the development of Blastr Green Steel’s transformative low-carbon iron and steel project. Since stepping into this role more than three years ago, I have been responsible for overall strategic leadership, project development, stakeholder engagement, investor relations, and long-term growth strategy. My background includes senior leadership in industrial site development and large-scale infrastructure projects, including previous leadership responsibility for Fortum’s data center and industrial site development activities. This experience has provided a strong foundation in investment attraction, industrial land development, energy integration, and cross-sector partnerships. A core strength throughout my career has been building trust and momentum for complex industrial projects through strong local engagement and effective government-level interest promotion. I bring a proven track record in working closely with municipalities, regional stakeholders, national authorities, ministries, and policymakers to align industrial investments with economic development, permitting pathways, and long-term public interest objectives. I have extensive experience leading complex stakeholder environments involving investors, industry partners, local communities, public authorities, and government decision-makers. Lead Fortum’s industrial site and data center development initiatives in Finland, supporting large-scale international investments in digital and energy-intensive infrastructure. Responsible for strategic site development, investor engagement, ecosystem partnerships, and enabling industrial growth opportunities that support Nordic decarbonisation and competitiveness. Key focus areas include hyperscale data center developments, industrial land strategy, energy integration including waste heat recovery and reuse, and stakeholder collaboration across public and private sectors.
Led strategic development, innovation, and new business creation within Fortum’s industrial and energy-related growth initiatives. Responsible for leading the Data Center Site Development practice, including strategic site development, investment readiness, and commercial concepts for large-scale data center and industrial infrastructure projects. Developed and scaled new competence-based service businesses, translating internal expertise in energy systems, infrastructure, and industrial development into customer-facing advisory and value-added service offerings. Drove long-term strategy work related to growth opportunities in decarbonisation, industrial electrification, and digital infrastructure, combining market insight with business model development and investment planning.
Led strategic business development initiatives related to CO₂-free power generation, energy market development, and long-term commercial growth. Responsible for market analysis, strategic planning, and commercial development across Nordic power markets, with a particular focus on clean generation assets, market design, and evolving regulatory frameworks. Built strong expertise and track record in Nordic electricity market dynamics, including pricing structures, capacity outlooks, power purchase frameworks, and implications of industrial electrification and cross-border market integration. Supported executive decision-making through market intelligence, investment evaluations, and strategic recommendations on generation portfolio development and market positioning.

Applied strong academic background in quantum mechanics, physics, and optoelectronics from Helsinki University of Technology to practical research and technology development projects. Contributed to early-stage development work related to fully optical metropolitan area ring network concepts and next-generation optical telecom solutions — innovations that later became commercially relevant as network technologies matured beyond the post-dot-com market cycle.
