I am a marketing and communications professional with 15+ years of experience in Corporate Communications; first in ING in global IT and later in global HR. In 2016 started at CGI as communications and marketing manager for the Shell business unit and later moving to Corporate Services to take the global marketing lead role for the Space industry. My key focus is translating business objectives into concrete and actionable communication and marketing plans that support the business. I take pride in managing the communication objectives to agreed time and quality and love to have a hand in creating the content and materials including writing and key messaging. Very experienced in working with external agencies with tight budget and deadlines.
Global Marketing Lead SPACE industry
In October 2018 I moved to Corporate Services to take up the role of Manager Corporate Services Expert Oil & Gas. My responsibilities in Oil & Gas expanded to the marketing and communication of the global Oil & Gas industry and since October 2019 also includes the Space industry. For both industries I lead the internal global marketers community and seek to grow both communities and use it strength cross industry. I and am responsible for the industry marketing plan that supports the development of the industry and this includes the delivery and management of new content and value propositions. providing the organisation with high quality assets and insights to develop their businesses with exisiting and future clients.
For this role I moved to the Corporate Global HR department. There I was responsible for setting up the communications function and delivering the communications strategy and tactics for the ING International Talent Programme (ITTP), the HR Target Operating Model and the ING Annual Talent Review. My focus was on realisation of continuous learning, global event communications and establishing community management within the social network of ING. For the HR Target Operating Model I was responsible for setting-up and leading the communication function and strategy in support of a new global HR system (roll-out started in Q1 2016)
Communications manager for the Group Services Formula Management team, part of Operations & IT Banking. Developing global IT communications strategies and tactics for programmes and departments and implement those through active collaboration with key global stakeholders. Developing new approaches for engagement and collaboration between leaders, employees and stakeholders using traditional and interactive platforms such as Sharepoint, intranet and internal social media. Community management including setting up global communities working with a community strategy plan. Editing, videos, webcasts and webinars for the IT Academy.
During a major transition of the organisation I was responsible for leading and coaching the team members of Digital Media Services (part of the Communications department of Operations & IT Banking). Reponsibilities included the development of an integrated digital media and content strategy for the global IT organization of ING.
Started my career at ING as a trainee solution developer with 7 months training by Yacht (Randstad) and from there allocated to projects at the ING IT organization (BPI & ITEC).
In a major Amsterdam Horeca company I was responsible for managing daily operations, coaching and training new employees, events and communications and PR including copy writing and editing working with external agencies.
