I’m a freelance AI engineer focused on multi-agent systems, LLM-driven architectures, and scalable MLOps. I design and deploy AI solutions that combine machine learning, simulation, and optimization, helping organizations turn complex decision processes into reliable, explainable automation. With a PhD in multi-agent systems and mathematical optimization, I bring a research-based approach to building production-ready AI systems that are both robust and compliant. AI Agents · LLMs · RAG · MLOps · Simulation · Optimization
Currently working for one long-term client • Developing a chatbot ecosystem for insurance customer service (RAG, agent and multi-agent systems, MCP integrations). Building scalable infrastructure to support dozens of bots, with a focus on compliance, observability, and operational scalability. Selected past projects • Built AI-driven underwriting solutions for a Nordic bank’s insurance division, including scalable MLOps infrastructure with strong focus on compliance, security, and efficiency. Mentored junior engineers and introduced best practices for generative AI and synthetic data pipelines. • Designed and deployed a cloud-based machine vision system for the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) to automatically classify and segment river imagery, enabling near real-time climate monitoring. • Developed a sales prediction system for a major private employment agency (Barona) using CRM data. • Performed customer segmentation for a postal services company in collaboration with AI Roots. • Migrated an e-commerce analytics product for a leading Finnish media company to BigQuery, integrating visitor data and debugging ML models. • Built demand prediction and dynamic pricing models for new-build apartments in collaboration with a large Finnish construction company and AI Roots.
• I have participated in lecturing, assisting or organizing 21 university level courses on topics related to multiagent systems, mathematical optimization, game theory, and stochastic processes. • I have received the department's teacher of the year award 3 times.
• I developed a simulation software and machine learning models for crowd disasters, which where implemented on computing clusters (see https://crowddynamics.aalto.fi). • Research resulted in 6 publications, 2 personal grants and collaborations with VTT Fire Safety Research Group and Aalto University Department of Civil Engineering, and it was featured in the Finnish magazines “Tekniikan Maailma” and "Helsingin Sanomat" (https://www.hs.fi/tiede/art-2000007992169.html). • I managed 3 research assistants whose role was software development.
• I promoted the field of operations research (OR) by organizing and marketing 4 events on using different OR methods in business and in other practical applications. • I was the editor of 3 issues of the society's journal
• I worked in the Analytics Business Unit. I developed an interactive data visualization tool for their analytics product, which is used to visualize and calculate spatial statistics of teleoperator company Big data.
• I developed a novel building evacuation model that can be used for real-time evacuation simulations. • In collaboration with VTT Fire Safety Research Group, I coded a mathematical model to describe crowd turbulence, which is the main phenomenon behind crowd disasters.
