About

Working within the ICS and OT domain as a SCADA Test & Commissioning Engineer, my career is rooted in the design validation, integration, and operationalization of control systems that underpin critical infrastructure. My experience spans controls engineering, industrial automation, and OT environments, with a demonstrated track record supporting the startup, commissioning, sustainment, and lifecycle governance of mission-critical systems across the transit, semiconductor, and turbine sectors, both domestically and internationally. My expertise encompasses the entire control system lifecycle, from design review and procurement through construction, system integration testing, commissioning, operational handover, and critical-spare parts sustainability. Throughout each phase, I maintain a deliberate focus on system availability, reliability, safety, and risk management, recognizing that failures within ICS environments carry operational, financial, and public-safety consequences. Technically, I am highly proficient in PLC and SCADA platforms, including PLC5, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, RSLogix 5/5000, and GE Cimplicity, with hands on experience assessing and modifying ladder logic, I/O definition, network communications and protocols, and multi-system integration. From an OT networking and security standpoint, I regularly apply principles of Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching, access control, authentication, and secure communications. My approach to system design and testing aligns with defense-in-depth, least privilege, change management, and regulatory compliance, mirroring NIST 800-82 and NIST 800-53. I routinely analyze and validate Sequence of Operations (SOO), P&IDs, and OT network drawings, collaborate with A/E firms, vendors, construction teams, and multidisciplinary engineering stakeholders. In practice, my role extends beyond technical execution to include technical oversight, contractor deliverable approval, root-cause analysis of automation issues, and risk translation, ensuring complex technical findings are communicated clearly and effectively to project and executive leadership. Complementing my technical depth is a strong foundation in program/project management, enabling me to lead automation initiatives on schedule and within budget, govern geographically distributed teams, and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments. I am a self-driven professional and collaborative leader who operates confidently at the intersection of controls engineering, OT security, and operational excellence.
