For the past 18 years, working in the renewable energy industry I built a significant expertise in delivering large-scale solar and wind projects in Europe and North America, spearheading the planning, construction and commissioning of more than 1,500MW. Now, I am leading the engineering, execution and operations of EDF power solutions' portfolio in Germany.
Overall responsibility to lead the delivery of EDFR’s Offshore Wind projects in North America from the offtake RFP until commissioning and transfer to asset management. – Lead the evaluation, integration, optimization, and realignment of the offshore resources – Establish and oversee updated processes and procedures for developing, updating, tracking, and validating cost estimates and budgets for project and for developing a contracting strategy for engineering, procurement and construction services for projects to meet the goals and risk profile of the project and the company – Represent EDF Renewables in technical discussions related to Offshore projects feasibility, design, bid, execution, and allocation of EDFR technical resources to support offshore projects delivery – Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the team, through collaboration with other engineering teams within EDF's various divisions. – Develop (adapt from Europe to the US specifics) a set of standard North American Offshore project management tools, processes, and methods – Focusses on obtaining lowest LCOE for EDF Renewables Offshore assets, while maintaining highest safety, environmental and quality standards – Anticipate and implement team skills development and growth in line with future markets, risks, technologies and individual development plans Achievements: - EDF Lead for the New Jersey RFP Round 2 submitted in Joint Venture with Shell, resulting in an award of 1,500MW, largest project in the EDF Renewables group - Built a strong team of 75+ professionals, covering all aspects of Offshore Wind Projects Delivery: Engineering, Project Management, Project Controls, Marine operations, Procurement and Contracts Management.
Overall responsibility to manage and direct all aspects of the project management and construction for EDFR’s Canadian and North-East US renewable energy projects. – Responsible for cost, schedule and technical compliance on project from inception to completion, including terms, conditions and performance parameters – Full managerial responsibility for all aspects of project controls including costs, schedules, estimates, change management and technical compliance on project from inception to completion – Actively coordinates proposal preparation, CAPEX estimating, planning and pricing – Manages RFP process for EPC contractors and participates in contract negotiation and contract administration with customers, subcontractors and vendors on an as needed basis – Leads cross departmental teams to deliver strategic initiatives – Evaluates, coordinates & bring to resolution legal, political and regulatory issues related to the project – Manages a team of program managers, associate program managers and procurement managers, including providing administrative direction, coordination and evaluation, training/coaching to the team Achievements: - Directed the successful implementation of 745MW of projects, $1,500M budget in Canada and US including the Rivière-du-Moulin and Nicolas-Riou wind projects. - Developed and deployed a framework for the implementation of Canadian projects
Lead the Technical Team on Atlantic Shores' Offtake RFPs and Lease Auctions, defining key business model inputs and overseeing technology choices and forecasting efforts. Achievements: - NJ Round 2 RFP, award of 1.5GW project - NY Bight lease auction, acquisition of lease OCS A-0541
Represented the owner on the project team and is responsible for delivering EDF’s projects safely, on time, to budget and to required specifications and quality standards. – Cost estimate, feasibility studies, optimization and planning – Management of design studies, definition of the structure of contractual arrangement, technical and administrative specifications writing, consultations for electrical work, earthwork, civil engineering, etc. – Work and contract management, schedule and budget monitoring until acceptance of work – Coordination of construction supervisors and support service, relations with local authority, administrations and utilities Achievements: - Toul Solar Project, 115 MWp, 300 M€ budget - Gabardan Solar Project, 63 MWp - Gabardan Prototype Solar Project, 2MWp, dual-axis tracking system - Canton de Bonneval Wind Project, 24 MW
