About

As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, I apply my PhD in Biochemistry and my expertise in assay development to study G Protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) in the lab of Dr. Patrick Scheerer. GPCRs are a large and diverse family of membrane proteins that mediate various physiological functions and are important targets for drug discovery. My mission is to understand the structure and function of these receptors and to develop novel assays that can facilitate their characterization and screening. Before joining Charité, I worked as a Project Manager at the Institute of Virology, where I managed projects on emerging viruses and virus epidemiology under the supervision of Professor Jan Felix Drexler. I also worked as a Biological Engineer at ImplaSens, a biotechnology company that develops immunoassays for medical diagnostics. There, I was involved in the design and optimization of immunoassays in an interdisciplinary team, as well as the management of the S2 lab and the safety of medical devices. Through these and earlier experiences, I have gained skills in biochemistry, cell culture, protein purification, structural modeling, and data analysis, as well as project management, communication, and collaboration. I am passionate about advancing scientific knowledge and innovation in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology.
