    Feb 2010 - Dec 2016 · 6 yrs 11 mos

Since I joined Sheehan & Company in February 2010, I have been providing assurance, tax and accounting services to small and middle market clients in a variety of industries including textile, construction, manufacturing, retail, wholesale consumer products and distribution, medical practices, attorneys, cannabis dispensaries and other service providers. My responsibilities at Sheehan & Company include the supervision of staff on assurance (audits, reviews and compilations) as well as tax compliance work. A strength of our firm is that the same staff will be involved in providing assurance and tax services so the client can be able to ask not only how they are doing in regard to financial reporting but also from a tax perspective. I also supervise our bookkeeping staff that provide specific services to clients including date entry, bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance and adjustments that result in management use reports to allow clients to better manage their businesses. I also supervise our outsourced accounting practice that assists client and their independent auditors by making the adjustments necessary to close the books for the year and prepare financial statements and related notes that can be audited by the audit firm. This is a great help to other auditors and their clients.
