Afrocentric Investment Corporation is a publicly listed diversified healthcare company providing health insurance, managed care and related products and services to nearly 4 million beneficiaries and employing more than 6000 staff. During my tenure with the Group I held various Executive roles including that of CEO of Medscheme, COO of Medscheme and MD of the Group's International Operations. As CEO of Medscheme I was responsible for: - Providing executive leadership in the diversified healthcare company by holding senior-level and top-management roles - Overseeing the operations for over 15 subsidiary companies across six African countries - Initiating and leading various digital transformation and legacy claims processing system modernisation projects - Serving as a company representative to increase brand awareness through regulatory forums and media partnerships - Optimising and centralising operations to drive cost efficiencies and improved customer satisfaction results. During my tenure as the COO of Medscheme my responsibilities included: - Collaborating with the leadership teams operating across multiple business units and locations to orchestrate around 4,800 employees - Leading cross-functional areas covering sales, claims processing and adjudication, inbound and outbound customer service call centres, and several clinical risk management functions - Restructuring business units to meet client requirements - Strategically secured and implemented a new client of over 500K beneficiaries.

RAG was listed on the JSE in the retail sector and owned several hundred clothing and jewelry stores in South and Southern Africa. I was appointed to set up the company's first Internal Audit function and oversee their Y2K project.
