About

I work at the intersection of creative technology, digital systems and publishing. Over more than twenty-five years, I have moved across FMCG, luxury, security technology, NGOs and global public health, helping organisations solve complex digital challenges by connecting storytelling, data and automation. My core skills span project management, UX and UI design, visual communication and metadata governance, built through hands-on work in digital transformation. Most recently at WHO, I led automation and analytics projects in scientific publishing and open access, designing and running automated workflows, developing data and metadata pipelines, and creating analytics dashboards that make information measurable, accessible, and useful for decision-makers. Alongside my formal roles, I have supported non-profits and justice-focused organisations through pro bono work on digital strategy, content and systems. Earlier in my career, I worked extensively in graphic design and photography, which still shapes how I think about clarity, user experience and visual storytelling. I am interested in both permanent and consultancy opportunities where I can help organisations strengthen their digital operations, improve data visibility and deliver content and services that connect people with the knowledge and support they need.

Prototyped AI bots to support engagement on open access policy. - Platform leadership & licensing Co-led the Appian-based permissions platform rollout, increasing automated resolutions from ~15% to ~35% and delivering an ~80% efficiency gain. Managed digital licensing and permissions processes for ~3,000 requests per year, including photo and video assets. - Analytics & data architecture Led data analytics, building automated data/metadata pipelines (Python, R, RPA, AI APIs) and Power BI dashboards to track global uptake (Europe PMC, IRIS, Google Books, Altmetric), replacing static consultancy reports with near real-time, self-service dashboards for leadership. - Digital distribution & open access Scaled ONIX distribution channels to key partners. Supported open access policy by automating Europe PMC funder updates (reducing a ~6-hour task to ~30 mins, ~92% gain) and contributing to XML-first and accessibility work aligned with the EU Accessibility Act. - Policy, partnerships & collaboration Maintained the WHO publishing policies website. During the COVID-19 pandemic, led technical collaboration with Wikimedia to help counter disinformation. Served as technical lead in partner discussions on API integration, data rights and AI, and presented dashboards to the Publishing Policy Committee, IARC and other UN/IGO partners.
