About

I am an interaction design student at Queensland University of Technology, focusing on designing experiences that are engaging and user-friendly. I enjoy working with others and being in environments where I can share ideas and learn. I try to be someone people can rely on throughout the design process and am always trying to improve. I always thought that design should be more than aesthetics and trends. It should be familiar and considerate to the user, progressing with purpose rather than changing for the sake of change. Across the design industry, simplicity has become the dominant trend. While I understand the appeal, there is often no sense of identity, making designs feel interchangeable instead of unique. I want what I create to be visually appealing, but also meaningful and useful for the user. My interest in strategic sports has pushed me to think more about strategy and long-term impact. It made me realise how unnecessary changes, especially with UI, can disrupt the overall experience. Moving forward, I want to design with a clear purpose and build it around the user, rather than what looks good at the time.
