My career objective is to build a long-term career that is both challenging and rewarding. I love to set goals, and I’m always searching for ways to improve to achieve my goals. My diverse work history ranging from Gas Turbine Electrician in the US Navy to a stay-at-home dad has prepared me to handle working with a team, or being able to self-manage myself. I am committed to excellence and love handling different opportunities given to me.
ArtCraft Paint is an aircraft painting facility with two paint booths, an upholstery shop, a mechanic shop, and two large hangars to accommodate a variety of aircraft. As an ArtCraft employee, I was involved in every step from the first arrival inspection down to the finishing polish. I routinely prepped aircraft for the removal of paint, and I set up the aircraft to receive new coats of paint. Working as a mechanic I removed aircraft controls and access panels to set up for the prepping and paint process. I was involved with multiple projects ranging from Gulfstream V jets to smaller Cessna’s, and many aircraft in between. Attention to detail was critical, and a good strong work ethic was vital for our success.
As a preloaded for UPS I personally loaded up to 3 trucks daily (300+ pieces each vehicle) in a fast paced work environment. I properly lifted packages up to 75+ pound. I sorted packages according to label and load charts. Also, I maintained the integrity of the shipments to preserve the condition of the products during loading.
As a stay at home father I performed all household management duties including meal planning, budgeting, and home maintenance. I created a fun and engaging atmosphere of learning by developing skills and hobbies that promoted project based activities relevant to current events, history, and fine arts.
As an employee of ConAgra Foods, I worked numerous roles. I started as a general labor employee where where I learned how to operate all the equipment needed to label, sort, and stack products in the warehouse. I then moved upwards to the break person. I temporarily filled in all positions of the warehouse to relieve people to go on break. Then I became a qualified pallet stacking operator. I sorted and stacked products and labeled each pallet for proper entry for USDA and FDA compliance. I then moved to night sanitation where I worked with USDA and followed strict regulations and laws concerning food and safety operations. During this operation I also qualified to run many different types of forklifts and aerial lifts.
