• Supervise staff of paralegals assigned to the litigation department to initiate the legal process on behalf of major consumer & commercial credit clients. • Plan, schedule, review and assign litigation collection accounts to subordinates to draft documents for filing with various courts in New York and New Jersey. • Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for paralegal staff in accordance with firm & department goals. Monitor team productivity and quality, and escalate issues as they arise. • Work with managing attorneys and management to ensure compliance with client’s and firm’s work standards. • Train and evaluate staff; develop procedures for and effectively use case management and other software to organize, review and track document production, including pleadings, stipulations, motions and judgment enforcement.
• Maintained bankruptcy files for large foreclosure servicer utilizing CaseAware case management software. Reviewed bankruptcy petitions, drafted, filed and served necessary documents with the bankruptcy court to allow attorneys to continue with foreclosure action including Proof of Claims, Stipulations and Lift Stay Motions. • Reviewed Mortgages, CEMA's, Deeds, Title Commitments and other documents to determine best course action to resolve title claims filed by lenders and foreclosure firms. • Drafted legal briefs, judgment motions and pleadings necessary to resolve title claims through the court process. Assisted counsel in preparing answers and providing documentation and information for discovery requests. • Managed portfolio of collections accounts for Federal Credit Unions, Title Insurance Agencies and other commercial entities for debtors in New York and New Jersey. • Drafted and served all pleadings, judgments, default motions and documents necessary to enforce court ordered judgments in New York State and New Jersey Courts.
