  • Senior Enterprise Architect at Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
    Aug 2020 - Present · 5 yrs 11 mos

Senior Enterprise Architect, at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), currently leading the maturation of the TSA Enterprise Architecture (EA) Performance and Risk Layers to facilitate a holistic approach for Executive and IT decision-making. Duties include the identification, capture and maintenance of the agency's performance data in a decentralized platform or Enterprise Data Mesh (EDM). I assist senior management and stakeholders with visualizing the linkage between the strategic business capabilities and the performance goals outlined in the TSA Strategic Plan. My position plays a critical role in multi-disciplinary modernization strategy teams, designing and building realistic roadmaps for a high-performing IT organization. This is accomplished through the structures of business-centric and data-driven enterprise architectures. The primary tools being Line-of-Sight (LoS) models showing the linkage between TSA's performance, business, data, application, technology, and security architectures that support TSA's major investments. The collection of performance data is achieved by leveraging the annual Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution (PPBE) process. I collaborate with the business offices to develop reports, analytics, and metrics. I also participate in the growth and implementation of Technology Business Management (TBM) data capture and process creation for mapping the cost allocations and resource consumption supporting the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA). TBM provides TSA leadership with verifiable IT cost data to optimize run-the-business spending. These efforts are building blocks in an integrated dashboard of "Cost, Risk, Performance" data to be used to positively impact architectural decisions and TSA service delivery. The development of this Executive tool is based on the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) which provides a coherent linkage to the context of the TSA's Mission.
