Currently, Anthony is managing the logistics, order management and supply chain teams for Varian Medical Systems in APAC, the Global leader for Radiation Oncology equipment based in the US. In 2011, he join Varian and established the APAC management team and greatly enhanced the operations and infrastructure for order management, logistics and delivery solutions of service parts for the Customer Support Service organization and fulfillment of complete systems for the company. This includes creating the operation teams, 3PL partnerships, the cost center hierarchies and finance processes. He also revamped the logistics, admin and reporting processes to meet compliance and growth requirements. He has delivered an enhanced high velocity regional network with new service capabilities to meet ever more demanding customer expectations for higher clinical availability, at significantly reduced costs (>35% reduction in logistics spend in 9 years). In 2014, his scope expanded to include functional responsibility for spare parts inventory planning for APAC, supporting inbound finished product logistics, parts regulatory compliance and supply chain and delivery support across all product lines in Varian. In his career, Anthony managed PCBA and lean product manufacturing operations, product and process development and engineering functions, technology and manufacturing transfers from around the world to low cost APAC production locales and partners. Always in continuous improvement mindset, he has delivered process, cost and quality improvements to all his operations throughout his career. He has deployed major supply chain redesigns and innovations to deliver efficient operations, cost reduction initiatives and enable go to market strategies. Anthony has a good understanding of operational hurdles and difficulties in many local markets in APAC. He also managed complex projects delivering supply chain solutions. His exposure and knowledge of different markets, industries and products is a major strength.
Added responsibility for systems delivery and fulfilment into APAC and from factory in China in 2015 to rest of world. Managing larger scope and team to eliminate waste and inefficiencies in the supply chain. Lead the logistics and operations management teams in Japan, China, Australia and Singapore. Delivering highly effective logistics operations and high velocity service chain in >20 countries to exceed customer expectations. Continuously driving efficiency and enhancement to infrastructure / network and service / delivery capabilities to customers around the region. Developing new capabilities to support direct and indirect channels in emerging markets like Myanmar, Vietnam, Brunei and others. Enabling field service support to hospitals treating cancer patients around the clock with maximum clinical availability.
Drive business growth and strategy for DHL Service Logistics business with main focus on Japan and India. Develop key accounts and meet revenue targets and growth objectives in the region.
