I am a multitalented manager, writer, editor, translator and event organiser. I am currently a corporate affairs manager at Lee Kum Kee, responsible for a multitude of key corporate projects in collaboration with different organisations. Previously I was a manager at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University charged with organising large-scale arts and cultural events. On top of my proven experience in project management, I am an award-winning writer, having authored and edited two bestsellers published by Oxford University Press (China). I boast a superior command of both English and Chinese.
• Lead a team to drive and manage the landmark University Gallery and directly report to Executive Vice President • Undertake extensive research on PolyU’s history since 1937, ranging from historical background, development of faculties and department, research achievements, national and global engagement to campus development • Craft English and Chinese contents for various sections of the Museum to tell an appealing and coherent story • Co-ordinate with over 100 units and parties within and without PolyU • Devise the most suitable multimedia displays of contents with designers • Manage the Central Management System and develop the guided tour script for VIPs • Conduct research on relevant photos, video clips and newspaper clippings from internal and external sources • Interview retired senior management and staff, and alumni
• Write marketing copy in English and Chinese for a variety of Hong Kong Arts Festival performances • Write and edit engaging bilingual content for the Hong Kong Arts Festival’s Facebook page • Translate programme notes, surtitles and FestMag articles from Chinese into English and vice versa
• Oversaw a multitude of CSR and community engagement programmes • Wrote, edited and proofread a wide variety of bilingual corporate and promotional materials such as press releases, reports, announcements, statements, guidelines, etc. • Formulated global developmental plans for the Hope as Chef Charitable Foundation, which aims to help aspiring youths worldwide realise their culinary dreams • Initiated and managed charity programmes of the Hope as Chef Charitable Foundation in Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, the UK and other countries in collaboration with local educational institutions • Administered scholarships established at Chinese Culinary Institute and International Culinary Institute • Supervised administration of Lee Man Tat Secondary School and Lee Shiu Nam Memorial School • Produced key corporate videos on soy sauce and oyster sauce for global use • Curated an exhibition featuring objects from Lee Kum Kee's archives • Oversaw the publication of the Simplified Chinese version of 'Biography of Lee Man Tat' • Developed a virtual tour of the Lee Kum Kee headquarters • Led VIP visits to Lee Kum Kee's headquarters
• Led a team of four to plan and organise a multitude of arts and cultural programmes of varied scale and nature • Acted as secretary to the Culture Promotion Committee and prepared minutes and reports for senior management's review • Managed the Historian-in-Residence programme, featuring former chief curator of Hong Kong Museum of History Dr Joseph Ting 丁新豹. The programme focussed on the Silk Road and consisted of an exhibition, two talks and two overseas historical explorations to Vietnam and Xinjiang • Supervised Art Pal, which presented over 100 workshops with more than 2,200 participants annually • Organised a pivotal exchange concert with 140 musicians from PolyU and University of Stuttgart • Designed and implemented the widely publicised Artist-in-Residence programme, featuring celebrated lyricist Mr Cheng Kok-kong 鄭國江. The exhibition, in particular, attracted over 14,000 visitors and was reported by RTHK, Ming Pao, Sing Tao Daily, HK01, Yahoo News and Sina News • Oversaw the establishment of PolyU Theatre and its inaugural production, Xiaojing Hutong 小井胡同, directed by Dr Chung King-fai 鍾景輝. The production, an official celebratory event of PolyU’s 80th anniversary, was widely covered by TVB, i-Cable, RTHK, Apple Daily, Oriental Daily, AM730, Hong Kong Economic Journal, Sing Tao Daily, Ming Pao Weekly, Metro Daily, Wen Wei Po, Ta Kung Pao, Epoch Times, Master-Insight.com, Yahoo News, Sina News, International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong) • Collaborated with organisations such as Hong Kong Ballet, Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies and Polish Consulate • Prepared annual and triennial budgets, proposals, business plans, press releases and various types of bilingual report and speech for senior management • Oversaw all aspects of programmes, from promotion, ticket sale, VIP invitation, to on-site logistics • Wrote, edited and translated various types of bilingual document and publicity material
• Designed and organised a wide variety of arts and cultural programmes for the PolyU community • Served as chief editor of the 120-page catalogue for the large-scale exhibition of the Artist-in-Residence Programme exhibition, featuring world-renowned ink artist Mr Wucius Wong 王無邪 • Mr Wong, Mr Tang Hoi-chiu 鄧海超, former chief curator of Hong Kong Museum of Art, and Professor Josh Yiu 姚進莊, director of Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, contributed essays to the catalogue • The exhibition was curated by Mr Tang and officiated by Mr John Tsang 曾俊華, then financial secretary of the HKSAR government • The exhibition was covered widely by SCMP, Ming Pao Weekly, Stand News, and was publicised by the Hong Kong show of Art Basel • Collaborated with organisations such as Le French May, US and Israeli Consulates and Shanghai Theatre Academy
• Authored the most noteworthy publication of Oxford University Press (China) in 2016: 英語.人生────曾鈺成 (English and I—Jasper Tsang) • Interviewed former president of the Legislative Council, Mr Jasper Tsang 曾鈺成, on his life stories and reflections on the English language, western culture and politics • The book was the Press's bestseller at Hong Kong Book Fair 2016 • The book received extensive coverage in Apple Daily, Ming Pao, Sing Tao Daily, HK01, Economic Times, Wen Wei Po, LifeStyle Journal, U Magazine, Yahoo News, Master-Insight.com, etc. • Lord Chris Patten 彭定康, Mr Michael Chugani 褚簡寧 and Mr Dominic Tsim 詹德隆 contributed forwards to the book • The book won the following award: 1.
