Worked alongside my preceptor and other nursing staff in the Progressive Care Unit at Peconic Bay Medical Center. Provided care for Cardiac Cath Lab patients, PACU patients, and COVID-19 patients. Had the opportunity to interact and see the palliative care team work with patients on the floor. Spent my Wish Day in the Emergency Department and got to experience the fast paced nursing practice utilized in this setting. Worked alongside other externs to complete a final presentation about our 8 week program and what we learned.
Helped organize store through tracking inventory, unboxing, restocking, and rearranging displays. Provided customer service to all clients helping them pick correct sizes and checking them out when finished shopping. Gained valuable knowledge about interacting with customers and managing many responsibilities.
