As an intern for the Hyer Calling Foundation, I have been given the opportunity to research psychological aspects of substance abuse within society and the world of work and communicate with individuals who have recovered from substance abuse and returned to the workplace.
As a competitive sports supervisor, I have responsibilities for managing and maintaining a safe environment for Penn State campus students participating in competitive sports. This position requires leadership and teamwork with other competitive sports supervisors as well as evaluating officials who I also help train and get accumulated with the program. I have received first aid and cpr training through campus recreation.
I supervise campus recreation games as well as officiate games. My job is to oversee the check-in process, scorekeeping, ensuring playing areas are safe for play, evaluating officials, and monitoring the general welfare of the participants in one playing area.
Officiate over 100 Intramural League Games, educating and enforcing rules of the game play and Intramural Building. Sports including basketball, flag football and volleyball.
I oversaw day to day operations such as customer service, inventory, and monetary transactions. I gained strong leadership skills, proficiency in multitasking, organization, and teamwork.
