A dedicated Psychology Honours graduate with strong academic foundation and a genuine passion to help improve peoples lives. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills developed through volunteering at Lifeline and disability organisations such as Cahoots and Spectrum Space, supporting individuals in need from diverse backgrounds and ages. Working to further enhance my counselling skills and understanding in the field of psychology whilst advocating for reduced stigma and more accessible mental health support.
Offering tutoring services for all undergraduate psychology units at Curtin University, with most experience in tutoring stats units. Creating useful resources and visual aids to support student's learning, and guide them into understanding concepts better.
Supervising and interacting with children to ensure they are playing safely and having fun. Helping them communicate and form new relationships.
Helping with research based tasks such as checking and cleaning interview transcripts.
Undergoing professional training with researchers to deliver a newly developed mental health program called While You Wait. Collaborating with Headspace to deliver counselling sessions to youth in need who are unable to access professional mental health services. Providing feedback for the evaluation of the training and program.
Working under the direction of Research Fellows Dr. Sarah Hall and Dr. Caroline Alexander for the Early Moves Project at Perth Children's Hospital. Supporting data processing and analysis as well as updating research information in relevant databases. Helping ethics ammendments and publication of research papers.
