Head Government Affairs & Policy at Johnson & Johnson EMEA Innovative Medicines

Brussels, Brussels Region, Belgium

About

With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I lead the EMEA Government Affairs & Policy team for Janssen pharmaceuticals, the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson. My mission is to advocate for policies that ensure optimal access to care for patients across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and to support a strong climate of biopharmaceutical innovation. I have a proven track record of building alliances with external stakeholders, including patient advocates, medical thought leaders, and policy makers, to advance the company's positions and interests at industry association level and beyond. I have also been involved in several innovative partnership projects in oncology, HCV, atrial fibrillation, and other therapeutic areas, aiming to increase the speed of access to medicines for patients. Additionally, I have contributed to initiatives to streamline the European marketing authorization procedures, co-authoring a publication with practical recommendations. I hold a post-graduate degree in EU pharmaceutical legislation and policy, and a master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences.
