I work in marketing and development at a Catholic maternity home in Greensboro, serving homeless, single, pregnant women of all faiths (or no religious background). Our program includes comprehensive care, including case management, transportation, life skills classes, and an aftercare program that includes assistance for years after the birth of their babies. We also offer a college program that gives mothers the opportunity to finish or earn a degree after the birth of their babies. I use my editing, writing, and marketing skills on a part-time basis to help build awareness and raise funds for this worthy cause. I continue to work in my own writing business established in 2016.
