Since graduating from University of Leeds with a first-class degree in Theatre and Performance, I have enjoyed working in fast-paced office environments. Most recently I have joined as Assistant Planner to GHD's supply chain team. I continue to take on creative projects in my spare time, including writing and staging plays, illustrating comics and character designs, and creating 2D animations.
I’m responsible for managing all UK online retailers for ghd - this involves: - Processing purchase orders and communicating with warehouse to ensure these are fulfilled - Booking in delivery by coordinating with both customer and transport companies - Coordinating stock within our system against a demand forecast - Managing shared documentation to keep an accurate record of monthly orders - Managing customer expectations and resolving any queries or issues with order fulfilment - Complex understanding of Microsoft Dynamics, involving investigation and error resolution
I assist GHD’s supply chain team with their day-to-day tasks. This involves processing admin such as goods receipts, shipping notes, product declarations etc - while maintaining shared documentation to an exacting standard.
Produced the Lab to Leadership podcast for the Silverstone Tech Cluster. Edited raw audio footage of host and guests into fully finished episodes which are now on Spotify. Monitored for any issues with recordings and either fixed through editing where possible or assisted with a rerecord.
Provided customer support to schools, troubleshooting their management information systems over phone/webchat/email. I dealt with hundreds of customers on a weekly basis, using excellent verbal and written communication skills to form a relationship and defuse situations when necessary. We’re asked to help with all sorts, from refreshing a timetable slot, to explaining how to add a new pay point in a teacher’s salary, to producing demographic reports, to entering candidates into their GCSEs.
I worked with railway companies to complete handovers of new company phones and tablets to staff. This involved engaging with often-reluctant customers and using a combination of IT expertise and people skills to turn an otherwise stressful experience into a positive one, and ensure customer satisfaction with the product.
