Experience

  • Regional MyoPro Specialist at Myomo, Inc.

  • Social Media Content Creator at Braised and Broiled, LLC
    Sep 2022 - Present · 3 yrs 10 mos

I run the social media accounts for Braised and Broiled, creating short-form video content, engaging the online community, and assisting with online marketing to increase overall sales. Within 6-months of posting 2-4x/month, we grew the business page from 300 to over 1,200 followers. The majority of our posts have 4,000 views but we've had videos go "viral" reaching 20,000 views. "Braised and Broiled" started as a cookbook Joseph and I made for our wedding favor - the story of us told through a compilation of recipes and funny anecdotes. Just like our relationship, Braised and Broiled evolved - into a whole community, participatory dining experiences, and cooking classes. Now, Joseph uses his Masters in Dietetics and his science background to support those with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Braised and Broiled is currently a 100% gluten-free (CELIAC SAFE!!) and dairy-free cottage bakery.

  • Physical Therapist at FOX Rehabilitation
    Oct 2022 - Feb 2025 · 2 yrs 5 mos

FOX Rehabilitation is a healthcare company that provides outpatient-level PT, OT, and SLP in the home. We often describe ourselves as therapists who specialize in "geriatric house-calls". My clinical expertise has allowed me to treat a wide-range of ages (20-100+ years old!) and diagnoses. In my role, I've had the incredible opportunity to hone my skillset working with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease/other dementias. FOX Rehabilitation has allowed me to demonstrate my non-clinical skills as well. Through organized marketing, networking, and community engagement events, I have found I thrive when engaging in meaningful interactions with leadership of senior living communities, sales representatives and clinical educators, additional stakeholders in geriatric and neurologic care, patients and their families. My favorite aspect of FOX Rehabilitation is the variety of tasks that are part of my weekly and monthly routine. In particular, I love hosting virtual education opportunities for physical therapy students. The class comes along with me in a treatment session with one of my established patients. My patients adore having an opportunity enhancing the educational experience of future healthcare providers. The most common feedback I receive after these events is that my humor and passion for the topic being discussed makes my sessions educational, engaging, and entertaining.

  • Consultant for Rehab Program Development at National HealthCare Corporation (NHC)
    Jan 2022 - Sep 2022 · 9 mos

National HealthCare Corporation is a company with skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and independent living facilities in 8 states in the south. While working with the Regional Rehabilitation Manager, I developed a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment to be provided for community dwelling older adults to calculate risk for falls and educate on interventions/next steps. Using my education skills, I created a preliminary outline for a general vestibular competency to facilitate NHC PTs to differentiate peripheral vs central conditions. NHC connected me with consultation opportunities with physical therapists in various rehab sites to assist with vestibular evaluations and differential diagnosis.
