M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Virginia received December 2023 while working as a Language Assistant in Madrid, Spain. B.A. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies received from University of Virginia in 2019. Teach for America alum, worked in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools from 2020-2022 as a middle school special education teacher.
Participated in North American Language and Culture Assistants program where native English-speaking college graduates spend a year in Spain supporting teachers in public primary and secondary schools through Spain’s Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional
In this position, I assist with management of the student phonathon, which is a branch of University Annual Giving at the University of Virginia. I run reports regarding statistics and results of the phonathon efforts, I communicate with individuals affiliated with the University (i.e. alums, parents, students, and friends), and I assist in the direct management of over 40 student employees.
In this position, I served as an ambassador of and exhibited enthusiasm for fundraising initiatives of the University of Virginia by placing phone calls to alumni, parents, and friends, with the goal of raising annual support for UVA. I entered donor information and pledges accurately into the fundraising system and gathered updated information about the prospective donors in order to help the University maintain records Overall, I raised over $28,000 for the University of Virginia.
During church service hours, I work in the nursery, providing care for the babies (all approximately one year old) while their parents are attending service.
