2018-09 - 2021-03 Field Director ABT Associates, Multiple Locations In Uganda • Fostered strong relationships with stakeholders, resulting in increased collaboration and successful partnerships using PPP at the ministry level, district local government, and private sector players engaged in nutrition, agriculture, and youth- • Developed agile and adaptive field management processes, reducing non-essential bureaucracy and ensuring efficiency in the day-to-day implementation of activities across 3 subregions, with 7 subcontractors and 6 counterparts • Continuously analyzed and synthesized performance data and metrics in reports (financial, staffing, technological, etc.) to support strategic and sound management decisions. • Streamlined reporting processes from subcontractors to partners and to USAID/Donors, improving accuracy in data collection and management while promoting quality and project visibility across the agriculture and nutrition spectrum. • Managed USAID compliance issues on field budget and burgrave based on approved work plans, staffing issues, monitoring and evaluation and reporting compliance.
• Designed and implemented economic development initiatives across 35 districts, creating over 1000 jobs and industrial certification of 15,000 youth. • Created income-generating opportunities for youth and DREAM girls aged 15 to 24 and maintained strong relationships with various stakeholders, including schools, health, WASH, and nutrition district departments, to ensure integrated outcomes for children and youth. • Developed a data-driven service delivery approach that reached unreached communities, leading to an extra $500,000 in funding. • Implemented a field management system that improved engagement and visibility of partners, stakeholders, and staff, leading to increased project activities and simplified reporting to USAID. • Managed a 7-person team of Economic Strengthening specialists for WASH, Nutrition, and Health projects, delivering comprehensive services to target households
Led the implementation of a US$12 Million Community Knowledge Worker Program. Using ICT driven platforms, we reached 15,000 households, providing access to extension services, addressing food security and nutrition, as well as water and sanitation issues. Developed key partnerships for service distribution with financial services institutions and development organizations resulting in increased uptake of agricultural innovations and mobile financial services for people in rural areas. Managed execution, program quality assurance, and donor compliance with full budget ownership of all programs in Uganda for Grameen Foundation, including the flagship programs on mobile agriculture and financial service initiatives.
Developed the Community Knowledge Worker five year Strategic Plan, raising over US$10 Million from donor funds and close to US$4 Million from other business development opportunities. Successfully managed the implementation of the USAID funded Community Connector (nutrition and vulnerable households) project in over 15 districts, with a team of 300 volunteers and staff. Achieved over 98% staff-retention within the project teams through mentor-ship, fostering close collaboration and maintaining robust stakeholder engagement.
