East Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia
I’m Annette Boyle — accredited social worker, clinical educator and clinical supervisor, field educator UWA, national speaker, author, and founder of The Studio. With over 30 years’ experience across social work, education and leadership, my work now centres on clinical supervision and selective, integrative counselling for women navigating grief, burnout and life transitions. I work at the intersection of clinical practice, reflective supervision and trauma-informed, body-aware care. My approach integrates psychological theory, reflective dialogue, symbolic tools and nervous system awareness to support ethical judgement, emotional regulation and sustainable practice — particularly for those working in complex or non-traditional spaces. I currently work as a Clinical Educator with headspace, supporting emerging clinicians to develop reflective capacity, professional identity and embodied presence. I also provide clinical supervision for social workers, counsellors and allied health practitioners navigating complexity, burnout and professional transition. Alongside supervision, I offer Studio Sessions — immersive, integrative counselling experiences designed to support clarity and regulation during periods of significant change. This is not open-ended therapy, but intentional, contained work. My work is shaped by lived experience as much as professional training. A student’s suicide profoundly reshaped my practice. My brother’s autism taught me to listen beyond words. Grief and reinvention continue to inform how I hold space — with care, restraint and discernment. I hold a strong commitment to rural women and practitioners. My family has lived on Noongar Country in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt since the 1850s, and my husband and I steward a small property on Wiilman Country. I understand what it means to carry many roles in one body.
