Pioneering the front-end in the financial industry. Anneke is a very passionate professional with over twenty years of experience in creating great online experiences. She originally started out in the book trade, due to her love of graphic design. She was educated to become a publisher and learned everything she needed to know about business, marketing and IT for her specialization in electronic publishing. After working several years in publishing and the book trade, she learned about the existence of the World Wide Web and her life was never the same again. Instantly she started studying everything she could about the WWW: the business and the technical side of it. She started building websites and very quickly got her first freelance assignments. Her professional interests shifted from publishing to IT, to databases and the web. She became an IT professional, spending most of her time on technology, but still making good use of her background in (consumer) marketing and business. She became a full-time consultant/ designer and helped her clients by designing and producing websites and webshops and by advising them on content, SEO and Usability. She has over twenty years of hands-on experience in the development of sites, shops and apps, based on open-source software and frameworks. The professional experience she gained over the years with (front-end) web development is extensive, but that doesn't stop her from learning something new, everyday.
As a software engineer, she leads the development of an essential part of a comprehensive mobile app, focusing on UI and user experience, while also serving as Scrum Master, coaching the team to ensure efficient collaboration and delivery.
As IT consultant she provides her clients in the financial industry and national government organisations with the best solutions for their web-based systems and applications.
Led a short project to redesign and refactor a mobile field service app, improving usability and code maintainability.
Building web applications used by all Dutch citizens.
Led a multi-disciplinary team in creating the Design System for Alphabet International (BMW Group), ensuring consistency and scalability across global products.
