About

I'm an independent consultant specializing in assessment development, ELL curriculum design, educational content, and localization for edtech organizations and global brands. I have a Ph.D. in English/American Studies and dual Master's degrees in Applied Linguistics and American Studies, and I'm a certified English and French teacher. My teaching experience spans K12, college, and adult education—both face-to-face and online—across French, English, ESOL, and Humanities. I develop full curricula for ELL newcomers, from scope and sequence design to writing pedagogically sound video lesson scripts, guided and independent practice activities, and comprehensive teacher guides. I ensure alignment with language development frameworks, curriculum standards, and UX/UI specifications to create learning experiences that are clear, accessible, and effective. I've partnered with leading education and assessment organizations, including ETS, College Board, and Summit K12, to design, develop, and evaluate high-quality, culturally responsive assessments in ELA, ELL, and French. My work supports major programs including AP, ELPA21, and ACCUPLACER. In addition, I'm also an Advanced AI Trainer with Invisible Technologies and Mercor, applying my background in linguistics to train and refine large language models. My work involves writing and evaluating complex inputs and outputs, and improving the reasoning, linguistic accuracy, and context relevance of various models. I support international brands through translation, localization, and content review projects. Recent work includes adapting and reviewing French-language content for Sun Bum's expansion into the French market and localizing educational and conservation content for Fahlo to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and brand consistency on French-language platforms. I'm a published author and academic reviewer. My scholarship explores lifestyle sports, popular music, and the intersections of language and identity. I've contributed articles, book chapters, and scholarly reviews, and authored a book exploring surfing, musicking, and identity in the vibrant backdrop of Florida. Thanks for stopping by!
