Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my profile 👋 I work closely with people who are figuring out how to grow and find direction in demanding environments. I started my career in PR and communications with tech and web3 clients. It was fast-paced and strategic, and I learned a lot about storytelling and positioning. Over time, though, I realised I missed being closer to the human side of the work. Today I work in excellence education at Maastricht University, supporting highly motivated students as they navigate both their studies and their personal development. Some days that means building confidence or finding focus. Other days it means naming doubt, recalibrating expectations, or accepting that growth is not always linear. I enjoy working across cultures and disciplines and tend to notice patterns in how people communicate, relate, and sometimes get stuck. Outside of work you will probably find me at the gym, hiking with my wife and our dog Odie, or doing tarot and oracle card readings. I don’t see them as something mystical, but as reflective tools that help me ask better questions. I’m always open to thoughtful conversations and exchanging ideas. Views here are my own. — Anna

Hendriks Bloemen is the largest florist in the Netherlands, operating a popular chain of flower shops in South Limburg. As a Sales Manager, I developed long-lasting relationships with clients, multitasked between client needs and store-related tasks, and translated clients' visions into beautiful floral designs. You might wonder: why did I decide to work in a flower shop after PR and other knowledge-based, white-collar jobs? Let me explain. I wanted to do something more hands-on. I felt stuck working from home (or sometimes from cafes) and not seeing immediate results. With flowers, you create five bouquets, and they sell out within a few hours. That kind of instant gratification was incredibly satisfying. However, after a while, I decided to give PR roles another chance (as I did feel a bit overqualified for the flower job, haha). You can learn more about that in my following experiences.
