Overseeing grant efforts, internal finances, and human resources to create a thriving food community and organization. - Leading the organization's grant portfolio, coordinating with project managers and ensuring proper reporting and compliance to connect 125 specialty food producers affected by COVID with 500 consumers and buyers. - Writing grant applications for additional funding to develop programming that supports specialty food producers. - Managing organization budget by monitoring payments, expenditures, and grant budgets and accounts. - Administering human resources policies, including new employee onboarding, payroll, employee benefits, legal requirements and liaising between senior staff and employees to maintain and improve organization-employee relationships. - Executing event production for five annual events, creating site plans and complying with venue, local, and state regulations, and managing day-of event product logistics for 600+ attendees per event.
Fostered, facilitated, and grew relationships with key stakeholders while executing virtual and in-person events. - Secured $125,000 in grant funding from the Oregon Department of Agriculture to create virtual and in-person programming tailored to small food producers who have lost sales opportunities due to COVID. - Researched and wrote successful grant proposal by persuasively communicating Foundation's mission and strengths. - Leveraged partnerships with 15 state Departments of Agriculture and Agricultural Commissions to increase participation at Foundation events and boost internal event revenue by $75,000. - Piloted a virtual trade show program, connecting 187 small business owners with 240 specialty grocery buyers during COVID.
Translated technical healthcare software changes into clear updates for a variety of non-technical audiences. - Compiled technical software developments into quarterly user-friendly, actionable updates for medical professionals. - Collaborated directly with subject matter experts to analyze how technical software changes impacted users' experience with the software to create clear and concise communications. - Created infographics to make updates engaging and easy to understand at a glance. Wrote and edited articles published on epic.com about hospital successes and innovative uses of Epic software.

- Conducted high-quality policy research and analysis on sustainable local food policy through in person interviews with food policy experts. - Produced survey in Adobe of 56 successful local food policies and distributed to local stakeholders in order to determine current status of food system and areas to be improved. - Developed list with five categories (food access, retail, procurement, agriculture, resiliency) and 56 policies holding best practices for local Governments to improve their community food systems. - Supported collaboration between CFSA and food councils by acting as a liaison and sharing materials and best practices between groups.
