Total Hours: 250 4 days/week • attended meetings every Wednesday with other undergrad researchers and faculty about articles read • researched methods of equipment setup • requested quotes for specific equipment • completed necessary safety training • prepared equipment for usage (stripped coating off capillary tubes, sealed air bubbles with hot glue) • reinforced safety of lab room (set up LED light strip that turns on with laser, created signage for goggle requirement) • learned procedural steps to create a microbubble fabrication setup using a CO2 laser and carry it out individually (order of turning on equipment, placement of wires, checking of laser, safety precautions) • did close readings of articles pertaining to x-ray microscopy • created mockups of containers to safely transport fragile microbubbles internationally • collaborated with my research partner to compile a presentation for UROP
