To raise awareness of breast cancer, I volunteer for the Befriend Your Boobs charity. As part of BYB, I lead interactive demonstrations of breast examination in schools and teach young people how to evaluate their breast cancer risk. Having these conversations can be difficult, especially in communities where breast examination is taboo. As a result, I have had to develop my adaptability and cultural competency.
