Led policy and programming on resilience building in Ethiopia; PRO for Building Resilience in Ethiopia programme (£352m); provided cross-cutting advice on livelihoods, climate and environment across humanitarian and development portfolio.
Led climate and environment (C&E) portfolio, incl. designing FCDO Sudan C&E strategy, delivering implementation and cross-office mainstreaming of C&E in policy and programming; PRO for water and infrastructure programme for Sudan.
Provided strategic support to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; managed approach and institutional knowledge on key trends in the non-profit space in the MENA and GCC regions; carried out day-to-day project coordination and project support for client work; and prepared background reports and other materials for ongoing projects and constructing relevant deliverables; business development and knowledge management.
Supported development and management of activities implemented by the Italian Development Cooperation in the field of agricultural and rural development; coordinated with UN agencies - in particular WFP, FAO, UNIDO, UNHCR, IOM, UNMAS - on projects and programmes funded by the Italian MFA; supported with proposal development, technical evaluation of projects as well as provision of specialist advice in migration, and agricultural and rural development sectors; focal point for emergency/humanitarian sector.
Contributed to a variety of tasks including research and consultancy, business development and project coordination with a specific focus on the DFID-funded programme Legal Assistance for Economic Reform (LASER). Supporting on the implementation of LASER, I acted as project manager for Myanmar, Somaliland and the programme research and influencing component.
Assisted in the documentation and practical delivery of the 'Regional Multi-stakeholder Consultation on Land Tenure in Asia-Pacific', a joint venture between the GLTN, UN-Habitat, FAO and ESCAP discussing land issues in the Asia and Pacific region.
