Mr. Ankit Tripathi is a dedicated and continuously learning litigator practicing before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, as well as various District Courts and Tribunals in Delhi. His practice predominantly focuses on technology and intellectual property law, white collar crime law, and arbitration. He has also been appointed as a sole arbitrator by the High Court of Delhi in disputes arising out of insurance contracts. Mr. Ankit Tripathi commenced his legal career in 2019 as an Associate at the Law Chambers of Mr. J. Sai Deepak (now a Senior Advocate), where he was engaged in constitutional and intellectual property litigation. He subsequently joined Vaish Associates Advocates, New Delhi, as part of its corporate litigation team, focusing primarily on matters related to insolvency and liquidation, arbitration, and commercial litigation. Thereafter, he was associated with JSA Advocates and Solicitors, New Delhi, working under the guidance of Mr. Dheeraj Nair (Partner and Co-Head of JSA’s Disputes Practice) and Mr. Manish Jha, Former Partner at JSA (now a Senior Advocate). At JSA, he focused on commercial litigation, technology disputes, and arbitration, representing both domestic and international clients.. Mr. Tripathi is currently serving as a Senior Associate at lnttl Advocare where he primarily deals with matters related to technology, data and gaming laws. He is also a regular contributor to leading legal platforms such as Bar & Bench, LiveLaw, and The Times of India, where he writes on a range of topics relating to law, including the intersection of technology with insolvency and arbitration. In addition to his legal practice, he is a regular visitor to National Law Universities and private law colleges across India, where he delivers guest lectures and serves as a judge at various national and international moot court competitions.
Advising and representing a prominent infrastructure company before High Court of Delhi in a construction dispute arising out of collaboration agreement with its contractor relating to termination of the collaboration agreement for non-performance of its obligations which includes drafting and filing of a petition under Section 9 of the Indian Arbitration Act, contempt petitions and miscellaneous applications. Extensively appearing and representing clients in the original and appellate side litigation at Supreme Court and High Court of Delhi including drafting and filing of pleadings including but not limiting to special leave petitions, commercial summary suits, writ petitions, contempt petition, written statements, & applications seeking leave to produce additional documents. Advising and representing third-party bona fide purchasers in proceedings under PMLA, including drafting and filing applications under Section 8(2) and 8(8) of PMLA before Special Courts and Ld. Adjudicating Authority, and appeals before the Appellate Tribunal under PMLA Drafted and filed replies to show cause notices under Section 8 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 Act, writ petitions seeking quashing of the complaint, summons, freezing orders issued under the PMLA Act, appeals challenging orders passed by the adjudicating authority under PMLA Act & writ petitions seeking quashing of the investigation report, summons and complaint filed or issued by CBI and SFIO. Advising and representing clients in defending various avoidance proceedings during corporate insolvency resolution process which includes drafting and filing of pleadings such as replies to applications under Section 43 and 66 of the IBC.
Assisted clients on the litigation and pre-litigation advisory in relation to disparagement, trademark infringement disputes including drafting and filing of legal notices, interlocutory applications, evidence affidavits, and suit for permanent injunction under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Trade Marks Act, 1999. Represented clients in criminal trials and litigations relating to white collar crimes and economic offences including drafting and filing of criminal complaints, quashing petitions, applications seeking bail and anticipatory bail. Assisted clients in various investigations conducted by Enforcement Directorate, Economic Offences Wing, Central Bureau of Investigation and Serious Fraud Investigation Office including preparation of defense strategy in anticipation of litigation, legal memorandums, and handling other aspects of criminal proceedings. Advised and represented various Resolution Professionals, Banks and Financial Institutions in their capacity as financial creditors in the committee of creditors under the corporate insolvency resolution process in relation to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Advised and represented clients in arbitration proceedings relating to appointment of arbitrator, extension of arbitrator’s mandate and application for setting aside the arbitral award which includes drafting and filing of pleadings. Appeared for and represented India’s leading e-commerce platform in strategizing responses to notices, engaging in settlement discussions and in the arbitration, proceedings arising out of breach of contract and enforcement of security interest which includes drafting and filing of pleadings under Indian Arbitration Act. Appeared for, advised and represented a leading financial institution in the proceedings arising out of Section 29A of the Indian Arbitration Act which includes drafting and filing of replies to the applications filed under Section 29A and preparing brief notes.

Represented clients and argued various cases independently before different forums including High Court of Delhi, National Company Law Tribunal- (New Delhi), district courts relating to insolvency, arbitration and intellectual property disputes. Assisted and represented various clients in applications for liquidation and insolvency of corporates and personal guarantors; and directors in the oppression and mismanagement disputes which includes drafting and filing of pleadings. Researched on various issues illustratively relating to sale as a going concern during liquidation, unilateral appointment of arbitrator, termination and substitution of arbitrator, nature of reliefs under Section 9 of Arbitration Act, arbitrability of fraud, third party and arbitration, and enforcement of arbitral awards.
Area Advisory Board has been constituted to ensure that the course and syllabus are as per the needs of profession/industry at a specific level (UG/PG) and to benchmark as per the National/International curriculum. My role is to bridge gap between Industry & Academia strengthening the ties and help the University develop/review the curriculum and programme structure respectively.
