Ever since I was a little child I wanted to become a teacher. I have carried this desire and passion throughout my studies and education. As a child growing up in Germany I did not have many opportunities to interact in a diverse and multi-cultural environment. I quickly discovered in coming to The University of Texas that exposure to a diverse and multi-cultural environment provides students with opportunities to collaborate and cooperate together regardless of their backgrounds. My high regard for an international learning environment has been confirmed through many of my personal working experiences at different international Schools within Germany and Switzerland. Close examination should reveal primary strengths in the following areas: 1. Interest in children’s development, 2. Passion for teaching, 3. Inquiry-based curriculum experience, 4. Enjoyment of multicultural educational environments, and 5. Proficiency in computer based technology and information acquisition.
